As part of the exec team you will be working closely with the General Manager of this big retail brand to achieve great things! Your role will include:
- Leading a team of category managers who in turn will lead a group of buyers, assist buyers and admin support
- Preparing capital and operational budgets
- Developing and implementing marketing plans by merchandise category
- Ensuring range development and pricing policies align with overall marketing strategies
- Ensuring promotional and advertising plans are in place
- Ensuring stock turnover is monitored and managed
- Actively developing supplier relationships
- Providing operational support to key business stakeholders
- Identifying and driving new business opportunities
- Maximising profit and gross margin opportunities
- Ensuring this business maintains its edge in a competitive market sector
To be considered for this highly desirable role you will have a good depth of Merchandise Management experience within the retail sector, be innovative and commercially astute with strong analytical skills and just as importantly – be committed to ensuring that your team are genuinely valued.
