I awoke one morning only too aware that I had the same boring list of tasks running around in my head as I had the day before, and the day before that. (you get the picture)
It was then that I realized, that not only is procrastinating boring, it actually resembles a bad game of Tetris.
Your opportunities, ideas and things to do are the colorful blocks that move from the top of the screen to the bottom. If you don’t work to fill the gaps and complete the lines, before you know it, nothing moves anywhere things stagnate, the screen fills up, you earn no points and the game is over!
If on the other hand, you fill the gaps and complete the lines, they move off the screen, and you get points! New, cool shapes appear, things look different and there are new opportunities to beat your high score.
If you procrastinate even your thoughts stagnate. If you get things done, there is movement, new and interesting things get the chance to appear in your world and you get to have fun staying in the game!
